Dear Editor
I was born in Finchingfield 71 years ago and lived there until quite recently so was very interested in the feature. The picture called Crowds by the pond I suspect is the villagers dancing from the top of the hill down to the green doing the 'Helston Furry Dance'. We did this every year on the May Spring Bank Holiday, all the school children joined in. I have done it many many years. I am out of touch with the village since my Father, who lived there, died two years ago so am unsure if this is still done.
